Orit Was born On February 25, 1974 and murdered in terror attack On March 9, 2002 in Jerusalem
Orit Ozarov , 28 years old , an employee of the Israel Foreign Ministry was murdered in the heinous terrorist suicide bombing at " Café Moment " in Jerusalem on March 9 , 2002.
11 people were killed and 54 injured in this murderous attack.
Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
Orit was born in 1974 and grew up in Jerusalem .
She attended Rene Cassin high school , where she was known as the singer of her class. She was also considered a very talented artist .
Following her High School graduation she joined the military. She graduated from the School of Education, and was passionate about working with children.
Orit joined the Foreign Ministry about four years before she was murdered. She has been working as an office manager while studying for her Master's degree at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem .
Her colleagues at work describe her as always having a smile on her face, possessing a contagious cheerfulness , and an aura of friendliness which affected everyone around her .
Her death deeply shocked her family and her many colleagues and friends.
The Ministry's Deputy Director General for Public Affairs Mr. Gideon Meir , with whom Orit most recently worked, stated that: "Orit was a fine young woman from a fine family . She fulfilled her tasks with great devotion , loyalty and pleasantness , generating a very positive influence on all of her colleagues. Orit will be missed by all of us at the Division for Media and Public Affairs , as well as by her many friends throughout the Foreign Ministry "
Orit is survived by her father Yehezkel , her mother Dalia and by her brother Yaron .
